Was i being a good friend?

well, today my bff mel painted her nails black, and asked me if i could make her a black and hot pink bracelets. i asked her if she was emo or something, then she got all mad at me. i feel kinda guilty, cause then she told me she was scene. shes dating an emo, and i asked her if she was just using him to make her ex jealous... she got really mad and dumped me as a friend. Was i being a bad friend?
