Is it destony that has brought us to eachother again?

ok my ex and me have been on and off for about 4 months and about a year and a half ago we stoped talkig dew to my friends they didnt like me with him bec they wanted me to themselves anyways for the last little while i was seening his face everywhere i went and wen i was with my now ex bf me and my ex started talking and then my bf at the time broke up with me and now me and my ex are talking again and emailing , but im not sure if its love cos like we want alll the same things but me and him are so dirffrent hes amazingly handsome and im ordinary and he,s everything that a girl could want in a bf but both of us arent sure if its faith that brought us back into eachothers life or just randomnesss , i no i stilll love him and he says he stilll loves me to but both me and him arent sure , like he and me are both single at the same time which is odd for us , i dunno im kinda confused i mean im loooking for love but is he the love that i hoped for
